Cotton is soft and comfortable to the skin - the ancient Egyptians already knew that! Even today it is still one of the most popular natural fibres. It is durable, easy to care for and perfectly suited to absorb sweat. Cotton fibres are seed hairs that develop on the surface of the cotton seed. They grow in cotton bolls, which are namely the fruits of the cotton plant. A cotton yarn accordingly evolves, comprised of many spun fibres, whereby the latter may have varying lengths. These fibre lengths affect the fineness in the later processes. The rule is: the longer the fibre material, the finer the yarn. Cotton can also be readily perfectly ironed. It is also perfectly resilient to high temperatures and the exposure to mechanical load in the washing machine. One can easily see how resilient cotton is if one takes into accounts that the cotton fibre can absorb up to 20% of its own weight in moisture without feeling clammy. Nevertheless the wrong care can still inflict damage on the sturdy cotton fibre. The from a closer perspective "rough" plant fibres cotton, linen and ramie, which are closely related to one another, can soak well with tenetex special special washing agent concentrate - thus a small amount of washing substance is sufficient to effectively remove dirt particles. tenetex is precisely tailored to care for plant fibres and it works fine without optical any optical brighteners or bleaching agents. Colours remain bright and fresh and to add vinegar to the final rinse is unnecessary. tenetex is a concentrate and very economical. Thereby we not only save a lot of packaging material but we also save on transport routes - and thus protect our environment!
